IMPROVING STUDENTS’ SPEAKING SKILL BY USING FUN CARD

Abstract

The aim of this research is to enhance the speaking abilities of seventh grade students at SMP GRETA in the academic year 2023–2024 by using communicative activities through fun card. Because of the current circumstances, a number of students are still unable to communicate in the target language, and the majority of them continue to believe that learning to speak English is a difficult task. They also fear making mistakes since they have trouble pronouncing certain words correctly and structuring sentences. In order to address this issue, strategies for enhancing students' speaking abilities using the current teaching methods must be found. In this instance, the researcher employed Communicative Activities with Fun Cards as the teaching medium, which can improve the seventh grade students’ speaking ability.
