The integration of visual arts into multilingual secondary education has gained attention as a transformative pedagogical approach, fostering cognitive development, language acquisition, and intercultural competence. Visual arts provide multimodal contexts that allow learners to negotiate meaning, expand linguistic proficiency, and reflect upon cultural narratives, thus enhancing both creative expression and communicative competence. This study employs bibliographic research combined with bibliometric mapping, thematic synthesis, and conceptual analysis of 162 peer-reviewed publications from 2010 to 2025. The bibliometric analysis identifies trends in publication growth, geographic distribution, and thematic clusters, highlighting the increasing global interest in visual arts-language integration. Findings indicate that visual arts facilitate vocabulary expansion, syntactic development, and pragmatic language skills, while simultaneously promoting creative thinking and intercultural understanding. Conceptual frameworks synthesized from the literature emphasize three core domains: visual literacy development, language scaffolding, and culturally contextualized pedagogy. Statistical trends reveal consistent growth in publications post-2015, particularly from Europe, North America, and Asia, reflecting widespread scholarly recognition of this approach. The study contributes to theoretical, methodological, and practical insights for educators seeking to implement multimodal, arts-based pedagogy in multilingual classrooms.
